In 2013, Jackie Van Nice and I presented one of our modules at the E-Learning Guild’s SolutionFest in Orlando, Florida.
To prepare for this, we had to create a stripped down and sanitized version of the module that we could present without giving away any proprietary or client information. We created a fictitious company (in a completely different industry from our client’s) with a convincing logo, and removed any information that would in any way be proprietary.
We talked about how we transformed our original source materials (the dry PowerPoint presentation they were using before) into an exciting and fun course, full of real-life scenarios and characters using the software in the context of their daily work lives.
